These Slow Christmas Days

by | Dec 29, 2016

I really do love these lazy in-between days of the Christmas season.  Even the secular world slows down a bit, to nod to Our King (whether they want to admit it, or not).  We’ve been filling our days with cozy fires and friendly board games and a few too many treats.

In this busy world, these dark, quiet days are a fortification for the hustle and bustle that will return with the new year.  It’s easy to lose sight of our real purpose, as we flit from activity to activity.

These family centered days are a helpful time to refocus and remember that Christmas, God made man, the Creator among the Created, sent to save our souls, is the reason for, not just this season, but our every day.
